Steps!!
I am a terrible blogger and haven't written anything since January! But I'm one of those over-sharers on Facebook so I'm sure no one went through Marisa-withdrawals ;)
Elijah is 9 1/2 months now, and took two steps today!! Twice!! Of course I cried. We knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later...this boy was practically standing before he started crawling! And he crawls like a maniac. When he sees something/someone he wants, he's SO fast.
Obviously we don't expect him to start walking non-stop now, but steps!! We have steps!! <3

5 Months!
Elijah is now 5 months old! It blows my mind how fast time flies... He is SUCH a joy, and really is a very well-behaved baby. I'm apprehensive about the "movers" stage we're coming up on, though, because I have a feeling he's going to get into trouble! Even in the womb he was a verrrrry active baby, so we're in for a good time!
No check-up this month, so I'm not sure how big he is, but our bathroom scale says he's around 18lbs. He's started tasting some "real" food (a.k.a. real baby food) and one day he likes something, the next day he doesn't. He likes oatmeal consistently. Really likes bananas and avocados in the mesh feeder we have. He seemed to like green beans, and apples make his face pucker. He is ALWAYS reaching for what mommy & daddy are eating/drinking and is an absolute hoot!
The most impressive thing about my 5 month old is he's sitting up all by himself! He started doing it around Christmas, and is a champ at it now! He can't bring himself to sitting yet, unless he's already at an incline, but he'll sit up in his Pack'n'Play and play for a good while!
OH! And Elijah now has a tooth!! His bottom left tooth poked through a few days ago. Probably explains why he's been SO fussy today! But it's adorable. :)
This isn't going to be a long blog...the husband got me sick and I've felt like death all day :-/ Fingers crossed it doesn't hit Elijah, or that it doesn't affect him like it has us! I hate being sick. :(

Not too different from last month. But you can definitely see growth! Especially in his legs in the picture below!
LOVE him! He makes so so so many goofy expressions. :))
